Dimensions Folding is an audiovisual exploration of the boundaries between dimensions. Combining sound and visuals, it centers on the imagery of “flowing water” and “particles,” creating a dynamic tension between movement and stillness.
Dimensions Folding

The statue dissolves into a cascade of particles, embodying the cyclical nature of existence as taught in Taoism. The transformation represents the ephemeral nature of form, a key concept in Taoist philosophy, where nothing remains fixed, and all things flow in harmony with the Tao.

To create the flowing water, we utilize a selected portion of Chen Rong’s Nine Dragons and apply a feedback shader to create a dynamic, flowing effect that mimics the movement of water. The shader manipulates the texture, introducing fluid-like distortions and subtle shifts in opacity, giving the impression that the dragon is seamlessly gliding and undulating, much like ink dispersing in water.
